i live in milwaukee and i love snakes, frog and lizards ect and wondering if anyone has seen any snakes in wisconsin and where.... Thank you- Jesse.....

You may want to check out the Wisconsin Department of Natural Rescources website.Its a really great site. It lists all the reptiles and amphibians in the state (there's 21 species of snake) along with factsheets, conservation information and also gives you the details for a book they publish called "Snakes of Wisconsin".

When I was up north in Hayward, WI we saw a water moccasin on the Flambou river. That thing freaked me out. I live just south of Milwaukee and have seen a few garden snakes, but other than that, everything I've seen has been in captivity.

Yes..garter snakes are common there and you may occasionally find a snake known as the timber rattlesnake.
