okay i just got him a few days ago so i know he probably isn't eating that much except 2 pellets cuz he is stressed but is he supposed to be so skiddish? Also he looks like he is sneezing, what happens is he goes into his shell (arms, head, feet, tail) really fast and comes out really fast and he makes a funny noise and he does this under water. What is he doing? also i heard that they are mainly meat eater and i heard they are strictly vegitarians so which is it? and PLEASE give a website so i can make sure its the right answer. Thanks!

I just got a new red ear slider a week ago, and it hasn't been living with a heater, i heard that i am suppose to keep the water warm from 75-85 degrees. do i really need a heater for it? or could i just have a thermometer and just add hot water whenever it needs it? any suggestions?

Anyone a gecko lover and want to converse? I have Two Skunk(white lined, palm) geckos......I've had (what I believe to be) a male now for 4 months and my husband brought home a female for my birthday last night!
The guy at petstore says he knows she is female because he finds eggs in her cage......
I flipped mine over last night and it dont look much diff then the female......the femoral pores were about the same!! Only thing I noticed which I hadnt seen before (because these kind of geckos dont like to be handled much) is little things sticking out of the pores!! They almost look like long grains of rice????
Anyone out there can help me out with this one???

Such as what should be on the floor of his cage? do I leave his water in the cage all the time...he seems to spend an enormous amount of time in his water and then he gets cold and can't move so he can't get out...I am still working on the issue of bringing the cage temperature where it should be. How often should I feed him and is it best to feed him frozen fish or try live things? Thank you.

I'm thinking about getting a ball python. What do they eat? What times do you have to feed them? Are they friendly? How big do they grow up to?

My bf and I just got two leopard geckos. A male and a female. The male is albino. We have a 15 gallon tank for them. Two hide dens, a fake tree limb for climbing, a water thing and a thing to put their worms in. They only use one hide place and like to be in there together. We put moss in there to help them shed but I dont know how to keep it humid. Is it better to just mist with some water in the morning? or should I get one of those waterfall things that are supposed to keep it humid and help them drink water like they would naturally? I dont like picking up their hiding den to mist it because I dont want them agitated. Also I just put paper towels down as the substrate. SHould I use moss every where? Or something else. I wont use the sand since it will hurt them. I just want healthy geckos.
