I have 3 adult leopard geckos and have been using newspaper on the bottom of their tank since I got them a couple months ago. I want to use some type of sand substrate. I have heardd from a few people that child's play sand works well but i have also heard that there is a risk for impaction. can anyone tell me a sand- like subsrate with the lowest risk of impaction?

I would also like to know which products DON'T work well. which products have you had trouble with?

Today I went to the pet store and was asking questions about anoles. I have a 10 gallon tank with hermit crabs, but I think some have died (They buried themselves and been buried for about a month to two months). I told the clerk I was going to put anoles in the tank if my hermit crabs died, because the hermit crab and anoles needs are very simular. The clerk said I could put both in the same tank but not to use sand. My tank has half sand and half bed a beast soil, hermit crabs like both. I was just questioning if I still kept both the sand and bed a beast soil, also questioning about the crickets I would feed the crabs. I love my crabs and I'm sure I woud love anoles also. I would want anything to go wrong. What do you's think. Thanks

I need to know if i can use this hermit crab heater for my lizard either a leopard gecko or my bearded dragon well to be lizard but i already bought one a long time ago from when i ad hermit crabs and im wonderiong if i can use it with my lizard. i will also have another heat source. im just saying for belly warmth besides basking spot. Please answer ASAP!!!
