Do they bite? If they do, does it cause much pain/ damage? Is it true that garters do not require any special lighting for their housing?

i have 2 blue tailed skinks i recently rescued from the cat and i have them in the same 20 gallon aquarium.They seem to like each other and are always side by side.Will they breed?Or are they just friends?

While feeding our pet snake a rat, the rat escaped and my fiance had to catch it. In the process the rat bit him twice on the hand. I put alcohol, peroxide and neosporin on the bites but I am worried about him getting an infection from the rat or something. The rat was bought at a pet shop. Does he need a tetinas shot? and is there anything else I need to do to his wounds, they are not deep?

It may seem like a dumb question, but I'm doubtful about getting an iguana because I've heard that one bit a lady's finger off- don't know how true that is, but I know they can get very aggressive. I don't want to have to be afraid of it biting - if it does bite I want to be sure it can't do damage. I do want a lizard, so I was wondering if the the ones I mentioned above are much better to go with? (keep in mind I would be a first time reptile owner) Thank you!

My leopard gecko is having major trouble shedding he has even cut his face pretty badly trying to get it off i have had them for years and never had this problem. so first he wont go new his hide box for humidity and don't know what to do for his nose and cant afford a vet so what should i do about these 3 problems? any input would be helpful ty.

i currently own a ball python and i have a spare 10 gallon tank fully set-up so i want to get another pet snake but i have no idea what to get. i want a snake that is very docile and isnt too nippy any ideas?????????? if i dont get any ideas ill prlly end up getting a typical corn snake but im not positive i want that, i did alot of research for all kinds of pet snakes but i want to know which snake makes a good pet from people who actually own one. thanx alottttttt :]
