depending on the variety many will stop eating this time of year (such as a leopard gecko) if the tempurature is lowered .This is a cost saving feature many breeders enjoy. (it can be expensive to feed if you have 100 lizards) generally it can go this way for 6-8 weeks but slowly increase the cage temp 9over a week period0 to bring it out of it.

If it is a leopard gecko it is normal. I rasie and breed leopard geckos. They go through sort of a hibernation period around this time of year. Your cage may not be warm enought either. Make sure one end is at least 80 degress at all times. Plus are you feeding it live prey or the freeze dried prey. Most of my leos won't eat anything unlless it moves. Try feeding it any of these live crickets, wax worms, meal worms, or some fruit flies. Be sure to dust the food with calcium supplement.

take it to be looked at if none of it's cage conditions have changed. it could be impacted and that could be fatal if not taken care of soon enough. switch from crickets to meal worms for a bit. are the crickets you are feeding it small enough to fit between its eyes? if not they are to big. if you put to many crickets in there they will becomed frightend and stop eating as well as the crickets will attack them.

1) Is the cage at the proper temperature? There should be an area about 90o at one end of the tank. They need high heat for proper digestion. If yes...

2) Is he defecating? He may have an impaction of some type:
See section under "constipation" http://centralpets.com/care/pets/reptiles/lizards/2658/6/1/petcare.php

Other possible explanations: it may be a female about to lay eggs?

Is it shedding?
