**DO NOT** Try and peel the skin off yourself. Misting the little guy is going to be your best option to help with the shed if he won't go in a humid hide. You could even try dipping a Q-tip in water and rubbing the trouble areas instead of just getting the whole lizard wet.

Try putting the old hide back - I don't know why he won't use the new one (too big or open?), but if he used one before, give it a try.

Do you have a light over his tank? Since they are nocturnal, he may go into the hide to avoid the light.

Use a spray bottle to mist the tank lightly (do in the morning and early afternoon so it can evaporate before night).

Bury a small plastic container (open at top) in the substrate and fill with moss, bark, coconut fiber, etc. that you can keep moist.

You just don't want to get everything so wet that he gets a respiratory infection! Also, don't try pulling the dead skin off yourself - this may cause further injury!

Hope one of these works!

I raise and breed leopard geckos so this is an esy one. Try putting the old hide box back in. It may be that the lizard doesn't like the size or something like that. You can also help it shed it's skin. Either mist it and help it peel. Or you can take a piece of tape and fold it over and try it that way .

I really dont know, but one of my leopard geckos goes in her humidity box, the other rubs up against wood bark. You should not try to help the gecko to much i think but make sure the skin comes of the toes.

squirt it with a spray bottle and try to remove the skin in the places that it is having trouble getting it off of.
