my hermit crabs legs fell off what should i do it still has the body but the legs fell off please help

Well it should be fine but you will know if it is dead trust me the smell is terrible and just be sure to provide a slightly larger shell in the tank at all times.

Hermit crabs loose there legs when there stressed,if the crab was just purchased you need to return it and get a replacement.Hermit crabs must be kept in a glass tank with heat in the high 70's low 80's and a humidity level of 70 to 80 %,they need fresh and salt water which has been treated with water conditioner. If your a new hermit crab owner you need to research how to take care of them before getting another one.

AS long as you are sure it was not moulting, normally this eventually will result in death without feeeding pinchers... great care and hand feeding is needed as well as special tank conditions and isolation.

hermit crabs will regenerate body parts.... unless it loses its head dont worry lol. theyll grow back.

theres nothing to do itll be fine make sure to have a diffrent shell handy thats bugger so in can move out if there shell is too small
