well, i saw a shop selling these unbearably cute little turtles.
my father says that turtles are quite smelly and difficult to take care of. but he wouldn't mind if i really want to.

if you have any experience on taking care of turtles, please share with me.

how do i make him eat...

i put food in the water and he wont eat.... and i put it in this little feeding hole that is in its basking spot(its a tank made for baby sliders) and it just doesnt look like he eats anything....

I have to do a bio project on the animal of my choice. My friend and i want to use turtles. We will feed one red cabbage and one regular cabbage to see if the one eating red cabbage only will turn redder. Do you think this will work? What is the best turtle for my experiment? Where is the best place to get the turtle in central jersey?

i bought it when it was a baby...now its nearly 5ft long and a right evil mutha....it lives in my bathroom.....could i release it in the local park...it has quite a large lake with little islands in it ..and plenty of ducks and fish...can gators survive in england?

o.k how can u tell if ur turtle is dead... mine is a box turtle and i think hes dead... idk if he is but heres what he looks like now that i think hes dead he has is eyes back into his skull(i know its sick but just think about if u had to look at him)... hes not moving.....and his skin is flat..(his arms)... once i thought that he was dead i was crying so hard that my face turned red cause hes my very first pet and he was my best friend cause he would listen to me when i say things and he did the funniest things! like he if was on his back he would take his head and lean it side ways and flip himself over but if he couldnt then i would always help him get up...he would always eat bananas with lettuce..or fruit cocktail... he would always drink water... if hes dead then its a good thing i still have my bunny buggs!! hes soo cute..he reminds me of a cat cause he drinks milk and water but he hates to be in water!! he'll eat anything so my dad calls him a goat!! lol so can u plz help me!

20 yrs .ago I bought 2 southeast Asian Leaf turtles, from a small Manhattan store. They were common then & are NOT on the endangered or forbidden list of today's commerce. I loved them so much & fed them human food which they loved, scrambled eggs, rice, cake,bananas, hard-boiled eggs, you-name-it They were personable & almost human. then when I was struck by a car , no one to care for them, I came home 2 months later & they were dead. I am & will always be heartbroken.
PLease help - Who and where would have this specific turtle for sale or import? (I want no other) They are rugged, smart, adaptable, semi-aquatic - compare to a human baby. These are worthwhile pets to love & care for. Any specific info from those who are into turtles.????? All good leads appreciated. I ask those of you with a soft heart for turtles to reply.

I did an impulse buy the other day and bought 2 turtles-- i do not know what kind they r but they both have orange dots on the side of there head and they are only like a month old my question is what do i need to buy these guys as in cage what kind of plants do they like,do i need a heater heat lamp ? filters? and chemicals for the water? pretend you work at petco and someone asks you i just bought a turtle what do i need to make it happy

i am not lizardophobic, i know they would kill any spiders, or insects. But somehow i hate them, and i heard it somewhere that kill them cuz they might be very poisonous,

also how can i get rid of them, the house lizards?

I have 2 turtles they both live in a 10 gal. tank tohether one is a baby still and the other one is pretty big he's got big in 3 months
the big one eats all the food and fish food.
We've had the baby turtle for two months it don't eat and it sits on a rock all day long under the light bulbs and hardly gets into the water what should i do????
