"Reproduce alone", no.

But female turtles can continue to lay fertile viable eggs for several years after a single mating. Box turtle females have been known to still lay fertile eggs 4 years after being with a boy.

Many reptiles do lay infertile eggs also if they have not mated during the season.

It was an Iguana that researchers found a case of parthenogenesis, reproduction without apparent male mating. There is no evidence that this can occur in turtles though.

Nope. There has to be both a male and a female for turtles to reproduce, -BUT- (and this is pretty cool, I think) box turtles (and probably others, but all I know for sure is box) can delay the formation of eggs if conditions aren't right for up to a year... Imagine.....

"Oh, it hasn't rained enough this year for me to be comfortable laying my 2-3 eggs... maybe next year will be better....."

This will happen from time to time if a wild turtle is brought into captivity...

But, if it's a turtle you've had for years, and it hasn't been exposed to a male, then all she's laying is duds... just like chicken eggs you buy in the store.
