There is a lizard in my hat. I have attempted to remove it but it simply became annoyed so I gave up. What are my options?

I'm starting to plan a new home for my 4 inch long red-eared slider. Right now it's in a 5.5 gal tank. I'm planning on getting him (or her) a 40 gallon breeder tank. What is the best filter for this tank? I was looking at the Fluval 205. Is this going to filter the water well? (110 gph, up to 40 gallons) Are there any other filters that anybody else uses? I'm trying to spend as little as possible obviously but will not pass up a good filter either. It also loves to dig, what is a good substrate to use so that he can't dig into it? Right now I have small pebbles on the bottom of the tank with a big plastic log for basking.

I have a young one. I got him a little over a year ago and he was supposedly 8wks old when I purchased him. He is about 3-4" long. He has been growing at a steady rate, he was about the size of a silver dollar when I first got him. I feed him a spring mix with a carrot stick sprinkled in calcium poweder every other day.

Does his age sound about right?
Also should I trim his nails or are they supposed to be left long?

Thank you!

I've read that a pyramidding shell on a Sulcata tortoise is usually a sign of a bad diet - too much protein and not enough fiber. But does this mean that my Sulcata tortoise with his pyramidding shell will not grow to the size of a Sulcata tortoise whose shell is smooth and rounded.

okay so i got this baby fire belly toad and we have him in a small tank right now i want to get him a bigger one... people keep sayin to fill up the tank at least 4 inches so he can hunt for guppies (which by the way sounds real cool) but im scared he might drown ..on the other hand weve set his tank up to where he has enough surface to just kick back and stay dry and enough to where hes nice and moist so he wont dehidrate am i doing ok of a job {remember hes still a baby}

Preferably the foothill areas of El Dorado County, Amador County, and Placer County. I'm looking to study local breeds, variations, and behaviors for research before I begin looking for species to breed in captivity (in a pond on my property). Thanks!!

Okay well I've been really trying to decide the past few days between a bearded dragon or a whites tree frog. I've been doing a lot of research and what not and I just can't decide which is the better choice for me.

Any opinions or facts, ect.?

Thanks!
