An african dwarf frog is completly aquatic so they will not be able to be handled. They are cute though

I have owned African Dwarf frogs in the past but find that they pollute their water quite quickly. They are also very jumpy and can easily escape out of their tank if the lid is not secure enough. I'd suggest something out of water, something that can be handelled and is not too delicate...such as a Whites Tree Frog. These little critters can grow to the size of your hand and are said to become quite tame, if handelled reguarly. But remember these frogs eat live food such as crickets so some supervision may be needed at feeding time. Well unless you want crickets jumping all over your house!
I once had 2 Whites Tree Frogs, they are pretty neat pets to have. Why not have a little read up of some care sheets to get all the right information and care basics for these cute, facinating creatures.

you know how in Harry Potter, the character Neville is always looking for his toad and everyone laughs at him behind his back because of it? Neville has a TOAD for a pet...a frog isnt much different. Dont get a 13 year old a frog....thats just lame. Get them a real pet like a dog or cat...maybe even a bird if theyre really responsible.

Pacman Frog; easy to care for but tends to get really big and lazy.

A. clawed frog; aquatic (lives in the water), also gets big. Easy to care for.

A. Dwarf frog; live entirely in water. Easiest to care for. Probably your best bet.
