I have a leopard gecko and it stays in it's hide box pretty much all day. While I am gone it sometimes buries its self in the peat moss. What is it doing. I has no other leopard geckos in the cage.

Found a 2 inch long skinny black snake, by a Caltrans freeway cleaner in Los Angeles, california. The snake is all black with a ring around it's neck and an orange belly. My daughter is pregnant, she wants to keep it and I want to know if the snake is poisonous.

ok my lizard that is an anole has been acting fine doing his normal stuff, but today i feed him like i do everyday adn he ate his meal worms and has had plenty of water all day, but i noticed this morning he was opening his mouth and just sitting there with it open. he has never done this in the four months that i have had him the only time he ever opens his mouth is to get water and to eat. and now he justs sits there with it open for about a minute. Is he okay what should i do? i dont want him to die!! please help me...does he need a female anole or what?? im scared!

well i asked a question about my geckos a couple of days ago .................. but yea w\\\\e but ne wayz my question is y when they climb in my hand they think they have to climb up my arm it tickles so i move and accidentily droped 1 and know hes acting like im the devil he runs in the corner when i go to put my hand in there my other gecko is com but he is very wild he wigglys and runs ahhhhhhhhhhh help me how do i stop them from running up my arm

Okay I caught a turtle about the size of a small apple at this lake and I'm not sure wether it's a boy or girl. Could someone please tell me how I can figure out the turtle's sex. Also what species is my turtle? Only really distinctive thing I noticed about my turtle is that it has yellow stripes on it's head. I hope he doesn't die, I read it needs a place hide to help itself relieve stress. What can I use for that. The things I bought for it so far have been a 10 gallon tank and these dried shrimp things to feed it and these black little rock things to put on the bottem of the tank. I also put some rocks I thought it might wanna climb on to get out of the water. I wasn't sure if tap water would hurt it so I used water from the lake. It's really clear for lake water, but can I use tap? He doesn't seem to want to eat the shrimp I bought him have I done something wrong? Also he has this green plant looking stuff stuck to his back. How would I clean that off of him. Thx for all the help!

I'm thinking of building a large aquarium will all of those in it I'm worried that the dwarf frogs will get eaten or the orchid will poison some thing. the poison dart frogs will be the kind sold in pet stores so they wont be poisonous.

what can I do?. the local vet is more of a farmers vet or large pet vet. the turtle itself doesnt seem to be in to much discomfort as its moving around but their is a bite hole in the top of its shell and on the underside. its stopped bleeding and I have used some salt and water to disenfect it. Please help

To those of you who own bearded dragons... have you ever wondered if they're hurt or not?? I mean mine always love to jump around, sometimes fall off the couch/table (sometimes land on her head and still runs around), bump into walls, etc....

...but this time I think she really injured herself while she was in the tank. She tends to run around and sometimes jump against the glass, and I think that's what led to her injury in one of her hind legs, because she is limping and I'm a bit worried. She is a young adult, and some other days she's not so active (specifically after her pregnancy) and now she currently is... Should I bring her to the vet?

I have a beleive a 10 gallon tank for my 1.5 year old turtle, and after I clean it, in about a week it'll be cloudy and dirty again with a lot of feasies at the bottom of the tank. I use this waste degrader, but clearly, it is not working. I have a working filter and stuff and I clean that too. So I don't know what to do, it never used to be like this.

I will be more then happy to provide anyone with more information if they need it, thanks.

my son found a little snake by a creek we are not keeping it as a pet but he wants to watch it and see what he can learn about snakes its eating small bugs and all is well but i was told it was a baby rattle snake i dont think it is but safety first any sugestions on how to tell it has no rattles but i researched and babies do not.have no fear it will be released back where it was found but i thought this would be a good learning experience for son on spring break.
