what can I do?. the local vet is more of a farmers vet or large pet vet. the turtle itself doesnt seem to be in to much discomfort as its moving around but their is a bite hole in the top of its shell and on the underside. its stopped bleeding and I have used some salt and water to disenfect it. Please help

If the wound stopped bleeding, and the turtle is still moving freely and eating, I would just keep it clean and let it heal. Keep a close eye on it though. Look for swelling or redness as this may be signs of infection.

its worth calling your farmer vet fore a Little advice water/salt was a good thing to do, if u can u should really take him to a proper reptile vet at all costs.. if that is literally impossible, then try going to a pet store that sells reptiles if their is any there and get some advise from them, if not treated properly your turtle could get infected and die

Get the dog checked out some turtles carry lots of infections, if your vet can't deal with your turtle he will be able to tell you someone who can .
