I have a baby ruby eyed lavender cali king snake, and a normal corn who is 4 years old now, how long do they live for on average? Does it vary from king to corn to boa. The reason I mentioned boa because that will be our next snake in a few weeks hopefully.

Two year old male Inland Australian Bearded Dragon. He's got little black spots (seems indivual scales are colouring) on the side of his head, between the eye and mouthline, and under his back legs.
it seems to run in a line. he is also got dull scales on his nose and lower jaw. almost like its unshed skin that doesnt come loose.
is this just part of normal colouring, or is it some kind of parasitic infection that i should worry about.
if so, what course should i take from here?

I have a young (approx. 1 1/2) male ball python that is very sick. He hasn't eaten in over two months. I know most of you will say he's fine, it's a ball pythons thing. I wasn't worried at first because I knew that they would go on hunger strikes and I was lucky to have him eat so well for so long. That was until he lost tons of weight. My little 9 month old weighs way more than he does. Then he began to poop out a clear gel type liquid, which then was found with blood mixed in. I am very worried. He refuses to eat and is extremely skinny. He was already skinny as it was because I wasn't able to feed him as often before. I have contacted a local animal clinic and plan to take him in this weekend. I am only 13 so I can only do so much. I will do what I have to though. I have already successfully exterminated snake mites from him and two others later last year. Please if anyone has any idea what I can do, please speak up! I love this snake very much!

Hello there! I am a known animal lover, and I have much experience with nearly every type of pet from my job as a veterinary technician majoring in animal medicine. I would like to know, in your opinion, what the best lizard (or snake) is to keep as a pet. Housing, cost, complicated nutrition..these are not an issue.

I'd prefer a larger sized lizard/snake that is interactive, or that can, at the least, identify a keeper. Thanks!

I had this previous post about my 3 months old sand boa not feeding, now heres the issue. About how long after it not eating should i start to get worried? Because it has been about a month since it's last eaten and it's last meal was 2 small frozen pinkie mice. How much longer should i wait until i visit the vet? It's been eating frozen pinkies since it was in the store so it was trained.

I have had my beaded dragon for about 2 years. I use calcium sand but a lot of people tell me to change it to carpet or news paper. I been thinking about it but have not. for one reason is because my dragon has been doing fine. out of the two years nothing has caused me to take him to the vet because of change in behavior due to the sand. should I keep the sand or change it now? After two years.

I have a baby ball python, but she's grown a lot since we got her. We are feeding her one good sized mouse a week, and today we moved her up to a bigger mouse than usual. She ate it quickly and didn't have any problems. (we've never had a problem with her eating) but i'm wondering. How will i know if we are feeding her too much? How often are we supposed to feed her. She about 2 feet in length.
