If he just came out of the water, it is no big deal.
If it is rather 'dry', it might be worrisome. If there is any eye discharge, nose discharge, noise while breathing, etc., start thinking respiratory infection.

If your vet checked him out then you can feel a little relief. I am not an expert so I'm not sure what res means? I had a desert tortoise for many years and the Az game & Fish took him from me and put him through hell for 8 months and I had 3 court dates and paid fines then all of a sudden they couldn't wait to have me pick him up. I got him legally registered after a huge ordeal only to have him die last week. My heart is broke but now I know what bubbles means. Mine was so sick from the stress of not being able to hibernate and being taken away from his Mom(me) and moved all over the place. He had a bad infection so snotty noses are serious for a turtle. I'm glad your pet is ok.

well a vet would be my first suggestion, but typically bubbles out of the nose are a sign of an upper respitory infection....... go to a vet first to make sure your not treating the wrong illness, if thats the case warm up its cage and more than likely the vet will inject it with antibiotics

although i dont fully understand your description, my first instinct is no, bubbles arent supposed to come out of anythings nose, its a frequent sign of an upper respiratory infection, i would raise the termperature in his tank

I don't have a res so I don't know bout them. But I have several lizards and snakes and it isn't a geed sign with them. If you aren't sure take it to a reptile vet.
