I have a young (approx. 1 1/2) male ball python that is very sick. He hasn't eaten in over two months. I know most of you will say he's fine, it's a ball pythons thing. I wasn't worried at first because I knew that they would go on hunger strikes and I was lucky to have him eat so well for so long. That was until he lost tons of weight. My little 9 month old weighs way more than he does. Then he began to poop out a clear gel type liquid, which then was found with blood mixed in. I am very worried. He refuses to eat and is extremely skinny. He was already skinny as it was because I wasn't able to feed him as often before. I have contacted a local animal clinic and plan to take him in this weekend. I am only 13 so I can only do so much. I will do what I have to though. I have already successfully exterminated snake mites from him and two others later last year. Please if anyone has any idea what I can do, please speak up! I love this snake very much!
