water and my res turtle?

this is a realy dumb question and i think i alredy know the anser but... do i need to put out sepret water fore my res or will he drink the tank water

First,your question is not dumb.Its actually quitew resonable.

He will swallow the tank water with his food.You dont need separate water.He probably wouldnt drink the separate water anyways.

It will drink the tank water, but you will probably never see it do it.
