a $20 allowance every month? how do you keep your gecko fed? I would say until you have enough income (whether from allowance or a job) that you not only can afford to feed your animals as often as they should be fed (an offering about once a week for the boa, and at least a little for the gecko every day, you shouldn't. Do you have enough saved up for a cage, heat source, hide box, etc. for the python? Is the gecko set up completely? have everything he needs?

I know it's tempting, but really, you need to look at what's right for the animals, not how cool it is.

It is not a good idea to mix a leopard gecko with a boa, the leopard gecko is aggressive and the boa is passive so eventually the gecko will find a way to force the boa out even if it means by killing it, best bet is to have 2 separate terrariums for the both of them

Depending on the type of Boa you are looking into purchasing, you may find that you will need a "pay raise" on the allowance in a short period of time. Do not house the Boa with the Leopard Gecko (the gecko may become a meal).

Um, dont put them together, of course, but yeah, it would be cool!

I have 6 reptiles, 1 water dragon, three russian tortoises, a red eared slider, and a western painted turtle.

Just be careful about the Boa, they get really big and they can hurt people... But you probably already know that. If I were you, I'd get a ball python. They're docile and dont get too big. Also, a perfect large starter snake.

As long as you keep them in different cages and get a bigger allowence. I have 11 leopard geckos, 1 tokay gecko, 2 mail uromastyx, 1 bearded dragon,1 sandfish skink, 2 blue tongue skinks, 4 fire belly toads, 2 fire belly newts, 1 red tail boa, and 1 western hognose snake.

no 20.00 a month is no where near enough to supply another reptile with its needs... wait until you can get more money before buying a new pet
