I have 2 holes out back in a bank in my yard and its near a road. How can they be relocated? And is it safe to move them this time of year or are they laying eggs ?

scince gopher tortoises are so endangered, i would hope you wouldnt move it at all, and if you desperately need to, contact fish and wildlife and explain that the tortoise is in danger and ask them to relocate it for you, they will do so in the most advantagous way

i know she probably seems like a pest but you are blessed to have her there

The undesirable guy is in misery, of course, you will would desire to call a nearby vet or zoo and ask them what you ought to do and tell them the place he's. I labored at a sea turtle rescue place for 2 years and persons have been continually bringing in all forms of land and sea turtles in misery; whilst an animal is in obvious misery, it fairly is okay to rescue them.

You may need to get official help- in many places it is illegal to touch, move, annoy, etc. them even if they are on your land.

Contact your local game and wildlife group for help and advice.
