I'm adopting 2 savannah monitors?

Is there anyway to sex them externally.

Sexing monitors is difficult; their hemipenal retractor muscles are exceedingly strong thus difficult to evert, and there are no external characteristics to differentiate males from females.

Unfortunately, no. They're a great lizard, though, as long as you get ones that have been worked with a lot. I had a rescue that I could handle easily and walk on a leash.
