Anyone a gecko lover and want to converse? I have Two Skunk(white lined, palm) geckos......I've had (what I believe to be) a male now for 4 months and my husband brought home a female for my birthday last night!
The guy at petstore says he knows she is female because he finds eggs in her cage......
I flipped mine over last night and it dont look much diff then the female......the femoral pores were about the same!! Only thing I noticed which I hadnt seen before (because these kind of geckos dont like to be handled much) is little things sticking out of the pores!! They almost look like long grains of rice????
Anyone out there can help me out with this one???

The rice looking things are hanging from each femoral pore!

Determining The Sex of a Male Gecko:
Male Geckos have Femoral Pores on the underside of their thigh.
Males Geckos have more noticeable V-Shaped Preanal Pores.
Male Geckos show two hemipenal bulges on the base of their tails. (this would be the rice size bumps I think you saw)
Determining The Sex of a Female Leopard Gecko
Females Gecko's femoral pores virtually non-existing.
Females Gecko's preanal pores are virtually non-existing.
Female Geckos do not have 2 hemipenal bulges at the base of their tails.
