It's getting ready to shed his skin. If none are in the cage, put a big rock with sharp edges in the cage to help start the skin to peel. Don't help it 'cause it won't happen any faster. He will scrape against the rock to break the skin loose and it may take a week or so to get it all off, depending on it's size. He might get a little temperamental while shedding so don't pester him.

He's getting ready to shed. He is soaking the water up to make it easier to shed his skin. His eyes will go clear again right before he sheds. Do not, I repeat do not mess with him until after the majority is off of him, then you can check to make sure it all came off and his eyecaps came with it. He will bite you. Also after he sheds he will be hungry, but he will not eat until after he has shed.

Sounds like he's in the "blue phase" of his shed. Takes a few days to go through. If this is the first shed you've dealt with, don't panic. He's fine.

this is a time when snakes shed. it can happen often but it doesn't hurt your snake.you should be careful though in letting anyone he/she doesn't know during shedding. when their eyes turn silver or gray it is a sign that their eyes are sort of cloudy so they can't see very well. hope my advise helps!!! :)
