and do they need some sort of water other than the water they swim in? does their water have to be in the water or will they eat from a dish?

i have been giving warm baths daily and feeding weekly until this week he wont eat. I bought some Repti Shedding Aid recently. It is just his head that wont shed and it appears that one eye is blind looking while you can see the scales over the other eye wanting t shed. It is a juvenile Ball Python about 12 inches long.

i Have a red eared slider turtle and its 1 year old and its starting to get a soft shell i have a heater and a uvb light so i decided to treat it with repti cal. I was wondering if it wold wash off the insect when you put it in the water. Any suggestions

I am making it out of a large antique armoire. It's going to be really cool! I took the doors off and I am replacing them with sliding glass doors. My question is, to line the inside 3 walls, I don't want them to be wood.... What would be a good thing to use that is waterproof on the inside. I have thought about slate - he could climb on it. I've also thought about melamine. What do you guys think?

I had two tanks with two res in each of them until this morning when one died. I am very sad about that by the way. Now my husband wants to put the lone turtle in the tank with the others. I'm not sure what to do but i do not want him to be lonely.

My red ear slider lives in a tank with my fish. hes been in there since he was a baby so the fish are like family and he doesn't bite them. He been in the tank all his life and doesn't walk on land. could this cause a problem for my turtle?

i have a turtle that still consider as a baby.
and it only likes too eat meat and nothing eles.
i put romain lettec and it doesnt eat it and when i put a peice of chicken it gulpes it up..
is it normal for baby turtles too eat meat alot??
how can i make my turtle eat veggatbles also??

We just got a small RES in as a recue/rehab. Any special instructions on their care? What do they need diet wise? He'll probably only be with us a couple of weeks while his wounds heal. Just want to make sure he has optimum condition to heal quickly.
