I am not sure as far as the parasite issue but why take a chance.
here is a thought for the people who are consumed with feeding your lizard or dragon "what they would eat in the wild" a wild bearded dragon average life span is about 3-4 years. a far cry from the 10-12 in captivity. because of predators, poor diet, untreated wounds etc all decrease the life span of a wild BD. our goal is not to replicate their conditions in the wild but to propagate good health and a long life span. BD's have many types of pellets that are packed with protein, vitamins and minerals these have been tested and confirmed are good for a BD. of course we do not find these pellets in the wild. so when asking what should I feed my BD do not look for the obvious answers of what they eat in the wild. BD are reptiles that eat at chance if the chance is there and they are hungry it looks good passed the smell test never made me sick before so go ahead and eat it type of animals. a beardie does not measure a cricket and check to see if it is the distance between his eyes he eats it. if he sees a beetle does he worry about the amount of chitin it has no not hardly. so when considering what you should feed your BD use logic and tried and tested methods and foods. someone else out there spent alot of time testing product breaking it down finding out how good and nutritious it is for your pet. if your beardie eats something that you think may not be good for it there is a good chance you are right. if that item of food is eaten by another animal closely related to it he can probably get away with it once in a while. CWD's have a very similar digestive system as beardies do, they eat fish all the time. as a normal dietary item. no but if one was ingested would I worry....Nope i would just write it down and check with my vet for his oppinion on his next 6 month wellness checkup

Hi there i am 12(13 on the 6th of feb)and very interested in reptiles,I own a corn snake, ball python and water dragons and from my experience snakes are better for beginners notably corn snakes, rubber and rosy boas and ball pythons. Bearded dragons are quite boring(in my opinion) and just sit about eating lettuce all day but if they get agitated their bite can pack a hell of a punch! This is just personal experience...hope it helps :-)

Not from the US feeder fish. They do eat small fish in the wild, but the feeder fish in the US have certain parasites I wouldn't want in my dragon and the wild minnows and other small fish have pesticide from runoff in their systems.

Not really. It is not his natural diet and may upset his delicate beard.
