Put it in a bucket of water and see if it floats. This has nothing to do with it eating but you'll know if it's a witch or not.

Wow that's a real toughie. I think I would try force-feeding it some water or MiracleGro with a watering can, and send it to the corner for a time-out if it spit it out. Sounds like you have a real serious problem on your hands there; I'd definately take it to the emergency psych ward to get an evaluation...
