i have a turtle and it is a Red-eared Slider. How can i tell if it is a male or female.

The males have large fat tails and large claws on front feet. they also have a curved inward body. And of course the females lay oval type eggs.

First of all, how big is the turtle? If it is a male the tail will be larger and the front claws will be longer.

hey, the male's front claws are much longer than females i think, and their tales are larger. I've got a male RSL and people often are surprised by his long claws!
