The don't look like an alligator and they are happiest and life longest in their home creek. I don't believe they have natural enemies except people who fish for them as food.

I don't think You can't buy one at a pet store but in Louisiana you can go out into the bayou and catch one which is amazingly difficult (believe it or not).
They are fast strikers when it comes to danger or food.

They are not a good pet if you don't know a lot about them. They get VERY big and aggressive. Also, they are expensive. If you do know quite a bit about them than you can always find some here....
