Have owned red eared slider for appx. 9 mths. Just purchased yellowed belly slider.

It depends on several factors. If they are not bigger then 1" in diameter a part, then they should be fine. Your res may be dominant of the tank and not let the ybs eat. They may also fight. If the res is more than 1" larger than the ybs, there's a chance of the res killing the ybs. The dominance can happen with any turtles at any size and is a good possibility of happening. If the size difference is this much then you should have separate tanks until they are near the same size. Turtles don't like buddies, they tolerate them. They aren't social creatures by nature.

Hello..if they are similar in size, it shouldn't be a problem, otherwise the littlest one could be injured by the bigger one ..Take Care :)
