Okay this is going to sound dumb... but arent turtles somewhat like whales/fish?!

Umm...they can live in water. Other than that, turtles are reptiles, whales are mammals, and fish are fish, so no, not really very much alike.

SOME turtles live in water and have to come up for air like whales do. Some turtles live on land. There is even one type of fish that comes up for air like a turtle. It's called a snakehead.

Turtles are reptiles... whales are mammals... fish are, umm, well... fish.
The only thing they have in common is that they are all animals and live in/near the water

This question is useless, you just compared whales to fish and turles? Someone needs a biology lesson.

Other than some turtles needing water to live in and being vertebrates, then no not all.

No but your question reminded me of the time my teenage daughter asked me, "Are cheetah's reptiles?" I made some corrections to her report card and mailed it back!
