What should I feed my snake. It is small (about 1 ft). I'm thinking crickets and salamanders, things like that, am I right?

you already have the snake, but don't know how to care for it? call the pet store, buy books, look online...do your research. this animal is in your care..you should know how to care for it.

i have had 3 snakes. when they are smaller they eat mice, larger they eat rabbits. again, you need to contact a store about the amount and how often to feed.

depends on what kind of snake it is....or if it is a python...since it about a foot long i would say pinkie mice or small feeder mice...and dont feed salamanders!!!!!! you can try crickets but they wont work very well......let me know what type of snake it is ill tell you the best diet..

Salamanders skin is often toxic. So if you're looking at a quick way to get rid of your snake........seriously...you have to tell us something about your snake....like what kind?

It sure would be nice if people would list what kind of snake they have ! There are over 2,000 snakes in the world..some are so small they eat ant larvae and others so big they can eat African Antelope...
Many snakes eat mice, some eat fish or frogs, others birds, some are strictly snake eaters.. What kind of snake do you have ?

For a very small snake, you can buy baby mice (i know, sounds inhumane, but snakes love them). I wouldn't recommend any lizards...I am not a snake expert but it doesn't seem like something you should give one.

You really should check with someone at a pet store. They will need to know the size and type of snake you have so that it gets the proper nutrition.

I feed my Gecko "pink mice" they are frozen fetuses of mice at your local Petco or whatever.I mean if he is really small or if live ones weird you out.Usually pet stores are organized by animal so just find the reptile section and you'll find more than you need.As he grows, you'll have to feed him more often and bigger "meals" I'm jealous, I love snakes!!
