We got 1 molly a few years ago, she was apparently pregnant because we soon had more molly's. I think she is a molly, she is bright orange with black fins.
Fast forward now to the present, all we have in our tank is molly's currently, our poor little neons died ages ago.
We have a good number of molly's and they keep on breeding. I have noted that we seem to be having some genetic problems (possibly due to inbreeding?). We are getting some really light orange molly's and some that are almost entirely black. We have also had some of the molly's born with weak fins? This only seems to happen on one side, they look kinda like Nemo.
Anyway we would like them to stop breeding so much! Is there a way to do this? We don't want to just flush them, and we don't seem to have a Pet Store locally that will take them. Petsmart and Petco are pretty much the only ones in the area that carry fish. Smaller Pet Stores don't seem to carry fish in this area.
