Those are red wag platies. They get about 2" and should be kept in no less than 5 gallons for 3. Aquarium companies are the worst for false advertising. They want people to overstock and kill fish so that they can keep making a profit on more supplies.

Platies have tons of common names depending on color. Sunset platy is the name you must be thinking of. Same species though.

red wag platies....They do get 1 -3 in and the rule for fish is 1in of fish per gallon. But in fact you can put more than that. It depends on your filter system, what type and how good it works for what your keeping. Large fish have more of a bio load on a aquarium, so you should have less of them, like 1 in for every 3 gallons.

those 2 on the right are reg wag tail platys and the one on the left is a sunset platy.

oops! lol thats a platy. one platy should be fine in a 1g tank but i wouldnt add any more fish.
