A 1 gallon fish tank is too small for even a betta, not to talk about 3 guppies

If you really want to put 3 guppies in a tank, get yourself at least a 2.5 gallon tank which is filtered including a 7.5 watt heater
Also only put males in there, or you will end up with hundreds of babies in no time

Hope that helps
Good luck

That is too small for any fish. If you want to put a fish in it, you can get a fighter fish. They live in small areas better. If you over crowd the fish tank, the fish could get sick easier and you will have a lot of problems. I also advise NOT to get guppies. If you do, make sure they are all male. If you buy a female, she will most likely be pregnant and you will end up with a lot more than you wanted. I have had this happen.

I know there are tiny blue fish that do not grow more than an inch long. These may fit in your tank. Look at the site below. This place gives details on many fish and their recommended tank size.

Tetras will be good.

As long as you have some sort of filter on the tank then it's fine. Get all of the same gender so they don't breed, but 3 won't have a problem otherwise.

But a tank without a filter is just a bowl, and there is no fish that will live a full life in a bowl - not even a betta.

No. As long as they're less than 3 inches big, they should be fine. Also, little areas can improve a fish's likeliness of becoming pregnant. However, if your guppies have babies, then you may want to think about upgrading the size of you fish tank.

As long as you have a suitable filter and do weekly water changes, you will be just fine. Or you could get 3 neon tetra's but then you would need a heater.
