I am getting a new 55 gallon tank for christmas for my turtles. I also have 3 cats and i dont want them to get into the tank. What should i use or buy for a tank top?? Can you give my some links to sites tanks?? I want to buy from http://www.bigalsonline.com perferably but any other links would be nice too.. thanks!

There's also a type with a hinged lid that opens over one side or the other (nt the front or back that's shown in the link above). You can sit a UVB lamp or other basking lamp right on the screen, or run a power cord for a water heater under the screen. There are clip locks that are made to be used with these to make sure your cats stay out.

go to ur local glass shop and you can have a custom piece of class made with hinges so u can top off ur tank

i suggest you get a tank that has a built in light in the lid.
