Ick does not appear as fuzz. They have a fungus. It is easily treated. Go to the pet store and look in the fish area. There should be fish antifungal meds. It does not matter what type to get. Most work well. My fish used to get this ALL the time.
Also, do a water change as soon as you can and cut back on the amount of food you feed them.
Symptoms: Tufts of dirty, cotton-like growth on the skin, can cover large areas of the fish, fish eggs turn white.

argh, why does everybody right away think it's ick, how about reading up on this disease
The biggest mistake you could have made was putting a feeder tablet into your tank
STAY AWAY from them, they only pollute your tank and ruin any established tanks
you need to do a 50% waterchange with a gravelsiphon right away
the white fuzz you see, sounds like fungus
Here is a site for you to read up on treatment
http://animal-world.com/encyclo/fresh/information/Diseases.htm#Fungus
Hope that helps
Good luck

50% water change. Then learn about the freshwater aquarium nitrogen cycle. Get a liquid test kit for ammonia, nitrItes, and nitrAtes. and use that test kit to make sure your water is in good condition at all times.

i believe that white stuff on your fishes face is a deadly disease called ICK,they are little white grape like pimples that are caused by bacteria in the water.get yourself some ick medication and read the instructions carefully, you put the medication in the water. i got two fantailed goldfish two years ago,one of them died because of this disease and i pulled the other one through with a few drops of this stuff,he wound up with a hole in his face, but its disappeared.
