Ok, so i've bought the tank.

I've got a 10 gallon tank.

I'm not planning on breeding my bettas right now. I bought two more today.

I've got one Oranda, one Black Moor, 3 Male bettas and 1 female.

In the 10 gallon tank there is one male betta and the two goldfish.

The other male is in his own bowl that has lots of space.

BUT. The female and the last male are together.

What's the chance that they will spawn anyways?

I know that they shouldn't be kept together. But I don't thinks thats true. I've been watching them closely for the past few days and they have been getting along fine.

I'm finding the one in the 10 gallon tank with the two goldfish is flaring up a lot at the white and orange one. Is that bad? Will he calm down and get used to it. Or will he eat them.

He's not attacking them or nipping at them. He's just flaring and chasing a little bit.

What are some good fish I can keep in my 10 gallon tank? Can i put female bettas in there too?

apparently she was heavily gravid and black, then one morning she was all peachy with tiny dots but they werent as black as the other day, did she give birth then ate her babies? I have one other male and female in the tank, she is nice and plump ready to burst but she doesnt display any of the symptoms some websites say she will when she's ready to give birth, she's as active as ever! this is my first time with guppies but i did my research, i didnt find any fry in my filter, ther other fish eat their flake food like crazy, but still no babies. how do you know when your guppy is ready to have babies? and how can you tell when they had babies and have eaten them or when they have a miscarriage. thanks for your time..

-I was told they would be okay with only 2 of them, but I'm beginning to think otherwise. I have a really small tank, it's only 2.5 gallons.

1. How often do you change the water in your beta fish's bowl/tank? How much of it?

2. How often do you feed your beta fish the pellets? How many at a time?

I want to keep my fish alive as long as possible. Any experience or advice would be helpful.

If it matters, he is a male.

Last night i bought my first betta fish, he looked a bit scraggy but i felt sorry for him, because the shop assistant said no one is buying him (he was the last one left). So i bought him, but i think something might be wrong, he acts fine but his tail is looks like another fish has been chewing on it. And his head to just before his tail is a dull greyish brown. Is he ok?? he acts fine

my betta, which lives in the same tank as my catfish, contracted velvet, and i bought some bettazing http://www.bettatalk.com/betta_diseases.htm
to heal it's velvet. to use it, you place a certain amount in the water. I don't know if my catfish got velvet from the betta or not, but i don't want to use bettazing if it'll kill the catfish. there are other medicines that can be used on other fish, and i think bettazing is a combination of some of those medicines, but i'm worried that it's ONLY for bettas, since it has the word betta in the name of the product. should i use it on my catfish as well?

Looking at getting a tank between 50 to 70 gal.
I would like for it to get along with other sharks or fish, but one that can eat small fish. I do not want to get in over my head, so even research suggestions would be helpful.

i have a 55 gallon. some people say that u need 10xs how many gallons u have, which here equals 550gph. but the renafil star xp3 canister filter has 350gph, but it says its for up to 175 gallon tanks.but people say that this filter works really good and they have like 150 gallon tanks. i don't get it , HELP! what filter should i get? do powerheads accually filter or do they just circulate the water? i was thinking either the renafil star filter xp3 (350gph) or the aquaclear 901 powerhead (935gph) HELP!!! any ideas?

this goes with my old question relating to the single fry in my tank, but now im even more curious because i watched her start to give birth to another in the breeding nest, looked away for a moment to check on the other guy *i cant get him in the nest but he seems to be doing okay* and looked back and the other baby was gone. so either mommy has been eating her babies or she's just not giving birth to many o.O so how many is typical for a guppy?

i've been noticing that many of my fish are dying in just a few weeks. new fish! not old! could it be that the batch was messed up because petco sucks? or is it because im spraying air cleaner (like the stuff that makes your room smell nice) in my room? (my dog is in there alot ^_^)
now, i've had fish my whole life, so i know when to change any water and how much to feed them. it cant be an illness either because fish have died in each of my 3 tanks!
i have 1 tank, a small tank, and a goldfish bowl. fish have been dying in all of them. (tanks are like with the big filters and heaters and all that fancy stuff. the bowl is just a bowl for 2 cool looking goldfish. well, not anymore... THEY DIED.)

most of the fish that i got in one day have all died but 2. i HAD 9!
