Your betta would be happier in a filtered and heated tank of atleast 5 gallons with lots of fake plants and a small cave to feel secure in.
Bowls are for candy or flowers, not fish.

Ummm... the Betta fish might like a small cave to sleep in but i had a Betta fish but i didn't put a cave in it and he (my fish) lived for 2 years.

No, usually bettas have small tanks and may not have room in there little bowls for hiding places you don't really need one but if the tank is big enough and you have the extra money to spare then go ahead it might add more interest to your fish you might want to add a warm light and a small plastic plant though they have glow in the dark plants at Petco for usually around 3-4 dollars.

Normally Bettas dont need a cave to sleep in.. I had one for 3 years and he was very content in his vase/bowl.

Your betta may enjoy a cave to hide in, but it is not neccesary. You also run the risk of never seeing your betta again, as they like to hide.
