While I was at work today my best friend's lovely 3 year old son dumped nearly a whole bottle of tiny pellet community fish food into the tank....what should I do?? I don't want to mess up the biological system or pH level by cleaning the whole tank out, and then again I would rather my fish not die. HELP!

What is the white stuff on their eyes? It looks very bad. I have 3 angels and a silver dollar fish and they all have it. They live in a 75 gallon tank.

my partner recently bought a new tank for her fish. it came with a filter that literally blows fish around the tank.

all bar 1 plattie and 3 goldfish died.

the plattie never swims near the filter. the goldies have been moved to a holding tank for now.

we suspect the filter. is this a possibility?

I was wondering if I put in a filter in a 10 gallon tank that has 3 dividers, will the filter work through the whole tank? or just in one side of one divider where the filter is?

I know some fish are more common than others... what are some gouramis you can actually find at a pet store? Like a regular Petco or whatever... I am going to set up a gourami tank and I need to know if they sell enough types before I go looking for gouramis.

I have a Green Spotted Pufferfish in a 30 gallon marine tank. recnetly the salinity raised to 1.030 because i didnt top off with fresh water. A few days later he wasnt lookin well. I did a 5 gallon water change of fresh water. He looked a little bit better and then bad again. He is very dark and swims in circles at the top of the tank, kinda floating with his back out of water...Does he have air in him? Or is it the salinity?

Ammonia=0
nitrite=0
nitrate=30
salinity=1.026
pH= about 8.2

answer asap please, he doesnt look good...

Is there any way to keep them from breeding? I know that I could just use the babies as feeder fish, but I think the babies are too cute and I don't want them to die. I've seen little cute baby fish get chased around the tank and eaten on my first "litter"....and I don't want that to happen again. I know it may sound silly, but that is just how I am. So...what can I do? I put the pregnant mommies in a seperate tank this time and now I have 9 babies...and two more are pregnant (the babies won't be hybrids as far as I can tell). Why are my fish breeding so much and is there anything I can do to stop it?

i am looking for suggestions of common aquatic/semi-aquatic plants suitable for small tanks and medium to low light. I would like to do the tanks open top and let the plants gow up and out. The taller or floating plants may have access to higher light conditions but the bottom of the tank would be low light.

I have no set plans for inhabitants and would also appreciate any suggestions for an inhabitant that doesn't mind small space and won't be likely to jump out or climb out. (i can clean regularily and upgrade filters) i'v considered ghost shrimp, betta, endlers livebearers and dwarf african frogs (not in the same tank!).. although i would be happy with plants alone aswell.

thank you for reading all that
