I plan on decorating my office and was wondering if I could keep koi fish in a fish bowl?

its just a 4 gallon desk tank i keep the light on the fan tan guppies like the water warm i know the light is my sourse of the alge growing but how do i keep it at a minnimum

The filter I ordered is a power filter with bio wheel, is this okay for a salt water tank or should I return this and purchase something else. I have a limited budget. I have crushed coral with argonite as as substrate, 200 watt heater.

I have a petsmart across the street and their goldfish are dieing at the bottom of the tank. its because they dont feed them enough and pay no attention to them. it is very sad to see a cute little inasent goldfish die because of these mean people not caring for them properly. and one is only 67 cents, so I say we shall buy as many as we can and give them nice homes that will care for them. please help.

I have a reef system with fish, live rock, soft coral, with invets. All of the sudden this morning there are all these little white mite looking things crawling on the glass and floating in the water. What is that?

I have went through 3 and am now on my 4th silver shark, I have also tried black fin sharks and a little specled catfish and seem to keep haveing the same problem with them.. they all act like they dont have enough air. I have a great brand new air pump in both my tanks, the water is kept at 75F, they are feed accordingly, and i have other fish that all seem to be just fine. but the sharks will be thriving one night and then the next morning they will just be bottoms up... I really dont want this one to die too because at like $7 a fish, well it gets kinda exspensive to replace over and over again.Please if anyone can help me out please do! I have asked all the petstores or former pet store owners that are around here! I need help with this fish!!!

I have 2 large (about 6" long) fish. They look like some kind of catfish .. more or less bottom feeders. I also have 2 4" red fin sharks. I need to do some work to the aquarium. What will happen if i unplug the filter? How long can i leave it unplugged??

I've a female guppy ready to have babies and so far she only gave birth to one.I've been watching her so she could not have eaten them.I have even put a net under the mummy gup with holes big enough for babies to swim through.She have been lying on the net going front and back continuosly.It's like she's pushing out poo or babies with difficulty.What's wrong with her or could you help me???

Lloydiella, any experience with this, I saw one today and thought it might look nice. I read about people having to pull it out and prune off the bottom periodically? Could it be easily propigated?

I have 3 female black mollies
1 male black molly
3 female guppy's
2 male guppy's

They are in a 29 gallon tank, is this too big for them to mate in?? I want my guppy's to have babie's. I heard that both of these are easy to breed. Why haven't they mated at all??? My water is perfect and has a heater in it at 76 deg.

hi i have a 55 gallon tank with 6, 1 - 1.5" assoted african cichlids. (i don't know what kind they are but i know what colors they are) colors - blue, eletric yellow, orange, tiger striped one, green with black stripes, and a albino cichlid. i was wondering how big do they need to be to mate? or how many more days until they'll mate? of my 6 cichlids i think 4 of them are the same species, and the other two aren't.since they're diferent colors they can still breed right? and can my other 2 different cichlids breed with my other 4 mbunas?
