It was something I was wondering about. I'm not trying to breed nor do I currently have eggs. :)

You bet! In fact, a pleco ate all my angelfish eggs last night! You can leave a light on in the room so the parents can see enough to defend their eggs, or remove the eggs, or remove/separate the pleco.

plecos will consume the eggs of other fish that are breeding in the tank, and even if the breeding pair is aggresive and will stand up to anything in the tank, but your pleco will move at night and if it can find and reach it it will eat it.
so if you are trying to breed fish add a ornament or ornaments that has a hole small enough for the breeding fish but not big enough for the pleco and add more decorations and more plants.
