Koi have a natural instinct to school, so you might want to consider getting another fish so it won't be alone. It won't die, but having a companion will make its quality of life better. Your koi sounds like it's very young, bear in mind they do grow quickly so you will need to have a larger tank on hand for when your fish outgrows the one gallon.

You koi can not fit in a 1 gallon tank, I don't care HOW small it is. Fish grow, a koi can reach 12 inches long in no time, and eventually can grow to 2 and 3 feet.
You keep asking the same questions and we keep telling you to MOVE YOUR POOR KOI! Your koi needs a 500 gallon POND, not a 1 gallon tank. It WILL die, not because its lonely, but because it's in a death trap. It's like putting a child in the cupboard under the sink and expecting it to be happy.

Stop anthropomorphizing your fish, and do the RIGHT thing; bring him back to the petstore.

Don't listen to the person who recommended removing the pump. Koi need a high amount of oxygen and REQUIRE an air pump!

Urban legends say that koi will grow to fit the size of their containers, but that's wrong. It will grow to its full size, regardless of the tank size. It does NEED to go in a pond, or it will die.

Angelfish are territorial tropical Cichlids. For a pair you fairly want a minimum of a hundred and eighty litres and if the pair have bonded, merely stressful backside dwellers are somewhat properly suited as a bonded pair will fin nip and chase each and every thing else. an trouble-free 10 minutes on google in the previous you acquire any fish could have advised you all this!
