I just yesterday setup my Aquarium... i have 5 fish to start with (male and female black molly, male and female guppy, and one zebra fish).

After buying the female molly i realised it lwas pregant. after leaving it in the tank for the day i watched how became very unsocial and agressive to the male molly. So today i went and purchased a breeder unit, stuck her in.

well i was going to ask whether it was the right time to put her in, but as i was typing up all this she's droped 7 babys so far which look very much dead o.O?! im now keeping a close eye on her.

any suggestions as to whats happened?

I got a goldfish in a "white elephant" gift exchange. I know that fish should be fed every other day. I'm leaving town for a week, will it be ok with out food for a week? Also we will be turning our heat down, how cold is too cold for a fish? I've never owned fish and I would be sad if I killed it.

I had 2 goldfish for xams off my boyfriend, and a large standard plastic tank with no filter...just rocks and an ornament....
Ive had loads of fish before but these ones dont seem to wanna move, they just sit there...looking pissed off! Woke up this morning, the tank water was all cloudy BUT...they were swimming round like troopers...

Have i gone wrong somewhere??

I have a 2 small fish and when the filter is on high it seems as those it is tugging them so that they constantly have to swim away from the tide. Does this put stress on them? It is not like it is so powerful that it is sucking them up or anything, but I imagine that during the night they may not be able to just float still but rather keep active. I'm not sure if this is natural for fish to do anyway. Is this harmful to them? I can switch the filter to low but then it doesn't really do the job. Thanks.

about three days ago i bought a new salt water tank setup (this is my first time) with one clown fish (percula) he is only young and i have nothing else living in the tank i mixed the salt to exactly what the directions said and the hydrometer said it was perfect too
problem:the water seems to be really blurry still and the clown fish keeps swimming at a 12 oclock angle, and sometimes swims on an angle sideways too, he seems fine normally but he will do it every now and then and then stop and go back to normal! he eats all his food and i feed him once a day, i did a 10 % water change today yet it was still blurry i made sure it was mixed properly and let it sit for a night before i put it in to the tank (new water) the temp was between 25 and 30 degrees celcius could it have anything to do with my filter ? it is only a bubble foam one no power one yet tho i will buy one in next couple of days,i will leave old in to keep bacteria population up as well, thank you for answers please help!

I love some of the mulit tank set ups these pets stores use as displays for plants and fish but they won't sell anything like them, They are very unique and I'd like toknow where I can buy ones like them. My favorite ones are 3-4 tanks that cascade into one another in a open hooded water fall style, like those battery operated water fountians you can by at a variety store. If anyome knows where I can buy ones like that pleae let me know, thanks

Ok, well, I do not think the ich had 'babies' in my tank, as none of the other fish have it, was getting mollies a bad idea? Maybe I could just get platies instead. I have many other fish in the tank including angelfish, so if I add salt will they be okay? Just angelfish, a plecostomaus, and other livebearers+ some baby fishes. I ahd a bad thing happen last time adding salt. Maybe I will just treat the tank? Or just keep the two mollies in the one gallon tank and keep it super clean...

The pet store said what I described which was a white string hanging my silver mollies anus is a worm of some kind. They also said to take the carbon filter out of the tank but leave the unit running but on the instructions for the medicine it says not to do that who is right?

Just went out and got two (male) Bettas as a first pet for my two boys. I have them each in a pretty good size (round) fishbowl, with colored gravel, and small fake plant. Anything else I need to do? Is it OK to leave the two bowls right next to eachother, all the time?

How often should we feed them? I've read 2-3 times a week & once a day.

my betta was fine for 7 months , and now he is dead. The day before he died , he was eating and he was active. He had a bubble nest. He didn't overeat before he died , and he was a noraml size , before he swelled up. The next day i wanted to feed him , and i found him dead. His stomach was really swollen, and he was dead. I want to find out if he died from dropsy , or from fish tuberculosis.
