Contrary to what many have said, you CAN put a betta with neon tetras, and the betta won't eat them (unless they're miniscule neons but any that are sold in petstores are big enough) and your betta won't attack them. Bettas are territorial, yes, but they only protect their territory against other bettas (male and females), so this means that you can't keep two bettas together, obviously, (unless they're 2 females) and you also should not keep fish with long fins who might be mistaken for another male betta, such as guppies, with bettas.
The issue with your question is the tank size. If your betta is in anything smaller than 8 gallons, you can't put any neons in the tank, because neons are schoolers, and they need a lot of swimming room, so 8 gallons would be the bare minimum. You could keep one betta and 6 neons in a 10 gal, for example. You could also substitute the neons for cardinal tetras, black neon tetras, glow light tetras, harlequin rasboras...

Catx is ideal. this is not any longer that the betta will kill the different fish, this is that there is not any longer adequate space for a school of tetras to stay without being lower than pressure, and under no circumstances actually would they ultimately die from the circumstances, they'd grow to be aggressive in route of the betta. A 5-gallon tank will be large for a betta by using itself, so long because it really is filtered and heated (it is needed!). you ought to even upload some freshwater shrimp which incorporates ghost shrimp or Amano shrimp, and some small snails which incorporates ramshorns. that could make a very good tank it truly is not any longer too crowded. in case you needed, stay vegetation will fairly spruce issues up too. in case you placed each of the fish at the same time in a 5-gallon tank, they could stay for a at the same time as. yet they'd be continuously lower than pressure and which will cause them to undesirable. both get a higher tank for a small college of tetras, or enable the betta have his own 5-gallon tank.

I just recently started doing research on this. I got stuck with two bettas and went out and spent a fortune on two tanks and al the fixins. They are relaxing to watch. I found that the Tetra's and Corys are the best ones to put with the bettas. It said to avoid other fish with long tails. I also found that bettas like other animals may or may not be aggressive. The bright colors is what stimulates them to fight with their own species but not always. They will not continue to fight if the other backs off. You can tell if your betta is aggressive with a mirror. How he reacts to his own reflection.

You really shouldn't put A neon tetra in any tank since they find their safety in numbers, as a schooling fish. If you go with a school of them, and if your tank is big enough (say, 20 gallons or more) then if will most likely work.

You can put 1, and only 1, male betta in a community tank, and up to 4 females. He will be fine as long as there are no other male bettas in sight. TIP: Betta will breed in your tank, so if you have one of each read up on condidtions needed.

No, because Neons are small and bettas will eat anything that is put into his tank (that will fit in his mouth).

I would't reccomend it because the Male Betta is aggressive. There are large Neon Tetras available that might help the size problem

If your male beta is an adult it wont last long. But those neon's can swim fast.
If you going to do it add LOTS of hiding places for the neon.

yes you can. siamese fighters (betta splendens) do not eat neons. put at least 10 neons in together. remember that neons, as well as siamese fighters, do not have long life spans.
