I have a reef system with fish, live rock, soft coral, with invets. All of the sudden this morning there are all these little white mite looking things crawling on the glass and floating in the water. What is that?

It could be water fleas. You should do a small water change if you want but if you have small mouthed fish they will eat them. They are pretty harmless. Some people buy them for food. It is called daphnia.

Sounds like spingtails. They are harmless but irritating. I've never had them and and not aware of any way to get rid of them except to take down the tank.
I would try netting them with a brine shrimp net, reduce their numbers or something, or maybe turn your protein skimmer off for a day, see if they don't drown in the gunk.

Take a sample down to your local pet shop. They should be able to help you.

Sounds like Ich. You can get medicine for it from any pet/fish store. It will kill your fish fast though, so you better get on it!

A fly could have laid eggs there and those white things are maggots.
