What is the cause and what is the best way to treat it? And will it spread to my other fish?

Some basic information about my tank...it is 55 gallon, fresh water tropical. It has 15 tiger barbs (recently introduced about a week ago), 13 glow light tetras, 2 male platys, 10 female platys, 1 leopord pleco, 2 rainbow sharks, 2 african dwarf frogs and one red spotted shrimp and one dwarf powder blue gourami. Partial water change done 2 days ago, and is usually done every 2 weeks. flakes are fed in the morning, frozen feds at night. Usually tank is very clean as pleco eats all leftover food.

Just treated the tank for ick, i believe the tiger barbs broughgt it in, now it appears they have swim bladder problems. Have never personally dealt with swim bladder, please help. Have already lost one in the night

Two weeks ago, my 9-year-old goldfish died. It was very upsetting, but I'm ready to get some new fish.

I've got a 6-gallon tank, and I'd like to get some new, pretty fish for it. I only want freshwater fish, and preferably some that have a bit of hardiness to them. Does anyone have any suggestions on what type of fish to buy/how many? Also, what should I look for when picking them out at the petstore--liveliness, etc?

last night i added two baby guppies to my five gallon tank, they werent that small they were about 1/2 an inch, in the morning when i was going to feed the fish they weren't there.

In the tank I have three guoramis', three angel fish, a guppi and a chinese algea eater. the gouramis vary in size the biggest is about two inches the other is about 1 inch, and the other is not even an inch yet, the angel fish are the same size about 1 inch including the back fin, the guupie is not even an inch, the chinese algea eater is about 2 inches.

Also im not even sure what type of guoramies they are, the one i've seen look totally different according to color, two are grey with thick black stripes going up and down and they are starting to get a shiny blue color around there gills, and the smallest i think its albino because its a peachy pink color almost seethrough.

How often should I completely change out the water? Once a month? More? Less? There are 2 goldfish in it. Thanks!

my 2 goldfish have fought a lot before, some kinda "i was here in this tank before you" thing. i divided the tank to get them to chill out. and now my brown goldfish cannot swim down for some reason? could it be because its fins have been damaged?

I bought a brand new tank for my two fantail goldfish.. they had been in it for a couple of weeks and were absolutely fine so I bought 2 smaller fantails to join them. After a couple of days I found one of the new fish kind of stuck to the filter and it died later on that day. The others still seemed perfectly fine. Two days later I found the second new fish stuck to the filter.. i turned the filter off and he swam away but went back later on an found him stuck to it again and he died.

I covered up the filter nozel as best I could to stop the fish going near it but two days later I have found one of my original fantails floating on the surface struggling for breath with his tail pulled apart (it was immaculate yesterday). The last fish is fine (touch wood) but I really don't know what's going on.. I didn't think the fish could get to the filter but still managed to be injured. I've had to uncover the filter nozel as the tank is not cleaning properly without it.

3.there is a little blood over the lump

i bought a female beta at wal-mart and it looks like a female. she's almost white and has short fins and not very big. i've had her for over two years now. i bought a nice tank and was wanting to add another female. i just want to make sure that i have a female. are there any other ways to tell other than less color and short fins?

He was swimming around fine before, now i looked at him, and it might be possible this is the way he looks, but it looks like the kribs' noses' skin was scraped and his nose is all red, he is also not swimming as much, bullying isnt an issue.

I had three in the tank together for three days, and I hadn't gotten around to naming them. The only survivor brutally mauled and nibbled the other two to death. What should I name him?

One of our two goldfish (the 28 cent each kind) is swimming on his side. I noticed that one eye (the one toward the bottom of the tank) looks sunken.

Every site I look to talks about both eyes being sunken in, and the causes they list wouldn't affect just one eye.

What could it be?
