No, Beta's can live with any fish..that's why you always see them along in pet stores. They are fighting fish and will kill any other fish with them. Actually they are loners.

Now if a fish has bigger fins then the Betta as you put then together that angel fish is going to die in a matter of days

First I need to correct some misconceptions about Bettas.

Betta fish are not overly aggressive, despite their moniker of The Fighting Fish. They have this name because they are very, very aggressive with other male bettas. But they are not overly aggressive with any other fish. They will not "kill any other fish you keep them with."

As for keeping them with Angels, this can be done but I don't recommend it. Betta's tend to pick on other fish with long fins such as angelfish.

The converse is also true, that fin nipper such as barbs should never be kept with Bettas.

Yes, my beta lives with my angel fish quite nicely. He gets along with all my other fish: guppies, my sucker fish, and those rainbow ones that are tiny that swim in packs but get caught in the filter every now and then.

They only get violent with other betas.

Male betta only do well with peaceful fish without big fins. An angelfish ft in neither category. I'd look at swordtails, platy, and cory cats.

Bettas can live with some other fish in an aquarium, but usually not angelfish or any fish with long fins (such as guppies).
I have kept platties, mollies, larger Tetras such skirt, Von Rio and others with bettas, but again, only in an aquarium.

Yes, beta fish can't live with each other or else they will kill each other. But they both should be fine.

Depends, if you mean angEL fish then i can help you. Yes it can live with a angel fish. It might take a day or two to get used to another fish but it won't hurt your fish, because there both tropical fish, and are both semi-agressive.
