I have a 10 gallon tank. I did have 2 cleaning fish along with 2 goldfish. One of the goldfish recently died. Just a few minutes ago
I discovered one of my cleaning fish was dead. Is it possible the gold fish killed the little fish? And do fish need companions?

Ok so a man bought a goldfish in a pet shop. Upon returning home, he put the goldfish in a bowl of recently boiled water that had been cooled quickly. A few minutes later the fish was found dead. Can you explain what happened to the fish?

Yet, when the fishes are in their natural habitat and swimming wild and free, they have little or no light.

I have two in the tank they are very placid fish and live happily with our clown loaches, and two silver sharks but for some reason he is just sat and seems to struggle get try and swim up atall can anyone please help, I'm not sure what cichlid it is but it's about 4" long it's a bright blue speckles to the back end and an oragey at the front with a black/blue spot on the side, there are no obvious marks on the fish apart from a small pinkish growth at the root of one fin he has had a while but didnt seem to bother him

ok, my goldfish keep dying on me, and they are not feeder goldfish, they are fantail goldfish, and I went through 3 of them in one year. we went to 3 different pet stores to see what they thought, and they all said the same thing, 2 lb tank, with a filter, and room temperature water, keep the fish in the bag in the tank for about an hour to let it get used to the water, and that's what I do, but it's just not working out, my one fish lived for 8 months, the other one lived for 4 months, and the other one lived for 6 days. and I don't understand it, my cousin have two feeder goldfish in a 6 inch tank, and they have been living for over a year know, so please help me and tell me what to do! oh and they have been dying by one fish got black, and his eyes got really big, and popped, and the other two just died. I don't know how. so please help me!

i have a water garden with a few fish in it. some fantails and a shubunkin. ive had them in the pond since spring this year. this morning i lost one and the other male doesnt look like hes going to live. i live in fla. and was wondering if the stress of our weird winter could be causeing death. my other guys are doing great. they are swimming around just fine eating the algea off the sides like normal. my water conditon is fine and i always add my bacteria and clean the leaves out of the pond. so theres nothing rotting on the bottom. the fish that died didnt appear to have any parasites or infection it just died. so any help would be great!

How will I know when she lays her eggs and is there anything i can do to protect her and her eggs from the other fish in my 30 gallon tank? There are two other fish just like her in my tank.
