My beta girl fish has a sack coming out of her butt that looks like mucus and there are red "balls" in it. My fish is the same color red. My girl and guy fish were once together a few months ago for less then 5 minutes so i doubt she is having babies. Anyone know whats going on?

Um, fish lay eggs so they don't have a uterus to shed lining like mammals do.

lady Bettas do no longer have the lengthy flowing fins that men do. in spite of the undeniable fact that, many advances were made in breeding lady Bettas, ensuing the same bright shades because the lads. male and woman Bettas can't be housed mutually. lady Bettas will be housed mutually, yet they should be kept in communities of three or more beneficial, (5 is perfect,) and they should be kept in a minimum of 10 gallons. (A unmarried Betta shouldn't in any respect be kept in below a 5-gallon tank.) that is likewise perfect to characteristic all the girls right away to eliminate a bully. keep in ideas, Bettas are not any further miracle fish, and they do require all the care of any tropical fish, mutually with a filter out, heater and common 20% water adjustments.

Fecundantion, sexual intercourse, is external for the fish. Their eggs and sperm get mixed together outside of their bodies.

Your fish is just "showing her eggs" to show other potential males that she's ready to have little beta fish babies. This should dissapear when the "mating season" is over. If it doesn't, check with your vet.

This sounds like an illness of some sort to me. If your female was gravid (with eggs) it would show as her being very "swollen" through the belly.

It's very unlikely that she would be gravid unless she was in the same tank as a male for a few days.

HUH?...... If I had to make a educated guess I would have to say that it laying it eggs. Fish don't have sex they just lay eggs and then the male comes a lot and fertilizes the eggs.

kinda sometihing like that like if u have a beta in a tank with a guppy or something she'll be fine one day then she'll like try and attack or nip and the fish to get out of her way.

I thought beta fish fight when they get near each other..but they are male and female...

You could bring it to a pet store and ask if she's having babies.
