Yes, but amazing as this sounds, sharks and other primitive forms of fish can never stop swimming in their entire lives, because they need movement to keep breathing. Since sharks need constant swimming to draw water into their gills, it appears that they sleep while swimming.

According to Wikipedia:
"It is unclear how sharks sleep. Some sharks can lie on the bottom while actively pumping water over their gills, but their eyes remain open and actively follow divers. The spiny dogfish's spinal cord, rather than its brain, coordinates swimming, so it is possible for a spiny dogfish to continue to swim while sleeping. It is also possible that a shark can sleep with only parts of its brain in a manner similar to dolphins."

Sharks do not sleep. If they did, that would mean they would stop moving, so their gills would stop taking in air, therefore causing the shark to die.

They take naps, it only a few minutes an then they're rejuvenated again, they take in air so they can float while they sleep. Thats is why they take in the air b/c they cannot breath under water, sharks are nocturnal chrondocytes

Yes they do, but like other ocean animals, their eyes don't close. And they need to keep moving the whole time.
