I have two in the tank they are very placid fish and live happily with our clown loaches, and two silver sharks but for some reason he is just sat and seems to struggle get try and swim up atall can anyone please help, I'm not sure what cichlid it is but it's about 4" long it's a bright blue speckles to the back end and an oragey at the front with a black/blue spot on the side, there are no obvious marks on the fish apart from a small pinkish growth at the root of one fin he has had a while but didnt seem to bother him

Sounds sick, maybe dying.
Could be your pH, your temperature, his age, any number of things.
Contact a fish store or vet and get some help.
